Business growth specialists Inspire have strengthened their board with the appointment of three new Non-Executive Directors.

The key appointments are all heading fast growing SMEs in the region themselves and will bring relevant business skills and current experience of the needs of SMEs to the development of Inspire’s support proposition.

Joining the board are Philip Maddox, MD at plastic fabrication company Leafield Environmental; Adam Morris, MD of award-winning IT Support company Avagio; and Alan Davies, MD of furniture manufacturer Summit.

All three will bring a level of expertise to help move Inspire forward – and Philip Maddox said: “Leafield started working with Inspire two years ago and we have found their support to be invaluable. When I was asked to become a non-exec to help with strategy and direction, I jumped at the chance.

“I believe my current experience at running a £6M SME, coupled with my previous experience as an International Sales and Marketing Director for a £50M plus listed company, will provide the Inspire members board with another asset able to offer additional structured advice.”

The current board also includes Chairman, Nigel Scott of Action Coach, Amanda Burnside, Principal at Wiltshire College, Kevin Rosevere of Stonegate, and Inspire’s Rob Perks, Mandy Paterson and Henrietta Brown.

Rob Perks CEO at Inspire, commented: “I am delighted with these strong appointments, which have taken a number of months to assemble, and we now have a broad range of sectors covered on the board, which will help us deliver the best advice for our clients.

“Philip, Adam and Alan are running growing SMEs and will help with the strategic direction of Inspire as they will be able to offer real practical input and experience on the issues growing businesses are currently facing.”
